Elysian wallpaper collection Sanderson

Elysian wallpaper by Sanderson with forest, birds and wildlife

Elysian wallpaper brings forest and field indoors: ascending branches, migrating geese and owls among pine needles. Sanderson depicts this natural world in line, dot and watercolour, so you can follow each leaf and every feather. Some of the designs sit on a light cream ground, where the pattern runs densely across the wall. Others are set on dark green and leave more space between the motifs. In the images, the wallpaper hangs in an attic bathroom under oak beams and in a corner with whitewashed natural stone, jute and checked fabrics. It calls for materials with a lived-in texture.

Patterns in the Elysian wallpaper collection

Farthing Wood wallpaper shows fine birch branches climbing in grey and taupe on cream, with speckled leaf clusters that catch the light with a metallic sheen here and there. In Elysian Geese wallpaper, geese fly in staggered rows to the left over deep green. Owlswick wallpaper is the most densely filled: owls sit on winding branches among pine cones and oak leaves, in blue-green and rust brown. Evesham Deer wallpaper puts deer centre stage. Lismore wallpaper is calmer and arranges partridge feathers in a geometric rhythm with a chalky finish. If you prefer to look at the sky, Silvi Clouds wallpaper has clouds with metallic accents like sun rays. Elysian wallpaper shows a painted landscape in loose, impressionistic brushstrokes, and Juniper Pine wallpaper reveals a conifer forest emerging from and fading into the mist, inspired by Japanese watercolour.

Styling Elysian by Sanderson in your interior

The light patterns work well in a room where you want calm, such as a bedroom or a bathroom under the roof. If you want a wall that defines the space, choose the geese on dark green or the dense owl pattern. Combine the Sanderson wallpaper with untreated wood, stone floors and fabrics in check or herringbone, as shown in the photos. Purple, rust and antique green pair surprisingly well with it.
