Bloom Mist wallpaper Greenland

Bloom Mist wallpaper by Greenland with painted sprigs

Bloom Mist wallpaper draws sprigs with elongated, oval leaves across your wall, set at an angle and each pointing in a different direction. Loose leaves float between the sprigs, so the pattern never comes to a standstill. The leaf shapes are painted with a mottled, watercolour-like fill, and a thin light outline sits just beside them, as if paint and pen each went their own way. Because the motif is small and repeats regularly, the wall reads as a calm texture from a distance. Only up close do you see the hand of the artist.

Colours of Bloom Mist wallpaper and what goes with them

The background is greyish brown, a warm taupe with a light mottling reminiscent of old paper. On top, the leaves appear in black-grey, outlined in cream that leans towards pale gold. This light edge keeps the dark leaves crisp, so the pattern never looks crowded. Combine this Greenland wallpaper with dark walnut, cognac leather and linen in sand tones. On window frames and skirting boards, an off-white or a deep brown-grey works well. Natural stone and brass or bronze bring out the golden tone of the outlines.

Greenland wallpaper in the living room, bedroom and hallway

In the living room, this pattern gives depth to the wall your eye falls on first, without becoming overpowering. Behind the bed it makes a bedroom feel warmer, and in a hallway or study it brings movement into the space. Because it repeats calmly, you can easily cover every wall with it. The pattern is part of the Aroma Silk wallpaper collection, which you can view in full at Selected Wallpapers.
