Lotus Stratum wallpaper Inkiostro Bianco

Lotus Stratum wallpaper by Inkiostro Bianco: a painted wall on a grand scale

Lotus Stratum wallpaper brings a painting to your wall that fills its entire width. Large open blooms with wavy, ruffled petals and a dark centre float across the surface, with slender, spiky leaves in between. A single flower can easily cover half the wall, so you are looking at a canvas rather than a pattern. Vertical streaks run through the image, as if the paint has bled. The whole design is divided into panels with visible seams.

Colourways of Lotus Stratum wallpaper

In Dusty Pink A, beige and cream blend into dusty pink and mauve, with a deep purplish brown at the heart of the flowers. Powder Blue A is cooler: grey-blue and petrol blue against white and light grey, with a hint of beige in between. In both you can see the brushstrokes, the hazy edges and a canvas-like texture that gives the wall depth. There are six colourways in total. Dusty Pink and Powder Blue each come in an A and a B version, and there are also Cedar A and Cedar B.

Inkiostro Bianco wallpaper in the bathroom

In the mood photo, the design hangs in a bathroom with a stone washbasin and a floating dark wood vanity. You see it reflected in the wide mirror with LED lighting, like a large canvas opposite the basin. Under the skylight, the soft tones complement the stone and wood. Because there is no small pattern repeat, the design comes into its own on an open wall with no cabinets in front of it. You'll find more designs in the Inkiostro Bianco wallpaper collection.
