Misty Bamboo wallpaper by Inkiostro Bianco: bamboo in the mist

With Misty Bamboo wallpaper you bring a misty bamboo forest to your wall. Tall stems run from floor to ceiling, with leaves hanging between them as big as your hand or larger. Most of it stays out of focus, as if you were looking through frosted glass or morning mist. Here and there a leaf or twig stands out sharply, and it is precisely this contrast that gives the image depth. A visible linen texture runs across the entire surface, so the wall looks more like canvas than a photograph.

Colours of Misty Bamboo wallpaper

The design comes in six colourways. In Sage A, grey-green bamboo stands on a light mint-grey background, with a few dark blue-purple leaves that catch the eye. Ash Brown A is warmer: taupe to copper-brown stems on a light pinkish-beige ground, broken up by grey-blue leaves. You can also choose from Frosty Pink A and the B versions of Sage, Ash Brown and Frosty Pink. In the two variants shown, the palette remains muted, so the image brings calm rather than shouting for attention.

Misty Bamboo wallpaper by Inkiostro Bianco as a wall-filling panorama

Because the design is built up as a panorama, it looks its best on a free wall or running continuously across several walls. In the mood photo, the bamboo continues across two walls of a walk-in shower, next to glass blocks, a wooden stool and a bathrobe on a hook. The milky light of the glass echoes the mist in the image.
