Christian Astuguevieille based his design on the creation of a fabric called"Fontaines et Animaux"(Fountains and Animals) designed by Jean-Baptiste Huet, printed using the copper plate technique around 1803, at the Oberkampf factory in Jouy-en -Josah . Using the neoclassical motif of this print, the artist has highlighted certain elements with a brush and India ink, creating contemporary abstract shapes. By looking at a classic design from the 18th century in a new way, the artist has brought it back to life.
