Christain Astuguevieille has reworked a decorative motif printed using the woodblock technique at the Oberkampf factory in Jouy-en-Josas, circa 1792. It is called"Coquecigrues"because of the imaginary animals depicted on the fabric. This motif was fashionable in the eighteenth century. Highly inspired by surrealism and unusual motifs, the artist has adapted the design scale and colors to produce a more modern version suitable for interior decoration. The original document has been preserved in the Toile de Jouy Museum in Jouy-en-Josas.
