Amani wallpaper by Masureel: textile textures from fibre stripe to linen

Amani wallpaper by Masureel makes your wall look like woven fabric. The basis of the Amani wallpaper collection consists of small-scale textures that run across the entire wall without a motif. In the lifestyle images you can see how this plays out: a multicoloured stripe behind a cactus in an earthenware pot, a plain beige weave behind a green glass vase, a grey-blue fabric behind a sliced agate disc. Up close you can make out the individual threads. From a distance the wall becomes one calm surface. You'll also find panoramic designs with plants and colour blocks in the collection.

Patterns in the Amani wallpaper collection

In Pai-Pai wallpaper, thin horizontal lines of uneven thickness run across the wall like grass fibres, in pink, magenta, lilac, ochre and orange with turquoise here and there. Texere wallpaper also looks like woven sisal. Calmer are Lux wallpaper, a plain linen weave in beige-grey, and Telis wallpaper, in which irregular vertical lines run through a light grey-blue fabric with a subtle sheen. Bolga wallpaper is inspired by handmade compositions of natural materials, while Khanta wallpaper refers to an Indian sewing technique. Larger in scale are Yucatan wallpaper, a panoramic design with lush plants, and Luana wallpaper, inspired by the fresco painting style. Solana wallpaper uses the same technique as Yucatan, and Morelos wallpaper completes the series.

Choosing direction and colour in Amani by Masureel

Choose the direction deliberately. The horizontal lines of Pai-Pai make a wall look wider, whereas the vertical lines of Telis add a little height. In the images, dark, roughly worked wooden furniture and matt earthenware look good against these textures, while glass and green plants provide a fresh contrast. If you want one wall to make a statement, Amani wallpaper with multicoloured stripes or a panoramic pattern gives it enough character. The plain variants anchor the rest of the room.
