Geometric Murals

Geometric mural wallpaper is a graphic design printed to the exact size of your wall, so a grid or a field of triangles lands where you planned it, not where a standard roll ends. You send the width and height, the artwork is scaled to those numbers and ships as numbered panels that hang in sequence. On a feature wall of 12 ft by 9 ft (3.66 m by 2.74 m) the pattern carries over every seam without a break.

Measuring the wall before you order a geometric mural

Measure the width at the baseboard, at eye height and under the ceiling, then the height at both ends. Houses settle: half an inch (1.3 cm) of difference over 12 ft (3.66 m) is common, so pass on the largest figure of each pair. Those numbers are what the design is scaled to, which is also why pattern repeat and trim allowance are not yours to work out. Note where outlets and door casings sit and mention them with your measurements.

Ceiling height, stairwells and repeat size

Most rooms here run 8 ft or 9 ft (2.44 m or 2.74 m) floor to ceiling, which suits a medium repeat: big enough to read as a pattern, small enough that no shape is cut off halfway. A stairwell reaching 14 ft (4.27 m) is where printing to size pays off, because the geometry is drawn once over the full height instead of pieced together from roll widths.

Choosing pattern scale and color per room

Because geometric mural wallpaper is made after you order, pattern scale is a decision rather than a given. A wide, low-density line design behind the sofa gives a living room structure while keeping it quiet. A powder room is the opposite case: all four walls in view at once, and space for a faceted, high-contrast design. In a primary bedroom, a soft gray geometry behind the headboard shapes the wall without glare. Where a console or sideboard around 32 in (81 cm) high stands against the wall, the lower band of the design disappears behind it, so put the part of the pattern you want seen above that line.
