What custom wallpaper actually is

A regular roll has a fixed width and a fixed repeat, which is why the pattern keeps recurring. Custom printing flips that around: you give us the width and height of your wall, and the design is scaled to that size and printed in panels that line up into one single image. A forest, a landscape or a graphic composition then runs across the full wall and starts and ends exactly where it should. Prefer to work with a repeating design after all? The materials for custom wallpaper

The material decides how the wallpaper feels, how it handles moisture and how you clean it. We work with several proven backings, so you can pick the right one for each room.

• Seamless vinyl prints the design in wide panels you place edge to edge, leaving barely any visible seams. It wipes clean easily, which suits busy rooms.
• Non-woven is a sturdy, breathable backing that resists tearing and shrinking and hangs easily. The paste goes on the wall instead of the paper, which keeps installation straightforward.
• Vinyl handles moisture better than paper and is wipeable, making it usable where the occasional splash reaches the wall.
• Bathroom wallpaper is built from water-resistant materials that stand up to the humidity of a bathroom, so the design holds up there too.

Because the design spans the full wall, it works hardest on the wall you most want to bring to life: behind the sofa, the bed or the dining table. In a hallway or along a stairwell a continuous landscape gains depth, and in a home office a calm, graphic design opens the room up without getting busy. Since the panels are printed to your size, the image meets trim, doors and corners cleanly, even at unusual ceiling heights.
