Casa Azul wallpaper by Casamance: plants, patterns and earth tones

Casa Azul wallpaper brings together plants, flowers and woven textures in a palette of olive green, ochre, sand and denim blue. The collection by Casamance draws on Mexican imagery: festive clothing full of flowers, painted ceramics and murals with botanical motifs. In addition, there is a plain design that mimics the grain of jute. In the mood images, the wallpaper hangs next to walnut wood, open staircases, rattan and woven lampshades. This combination shows where these patterns belong: in an interior with natural materials and warm colours. You can let a wall make a full statement or opt for a calm background instead.

Patterns in the Casa Azul wallpaper collection

Tehuana wallpaper is a dense pattern of stylised flowers with dotted centres, round fruits, long leaves and palm fans. No background remains. Solid colour areas in olive green, sage green, terracotta and cream are defined with contour lines and hatching. Talavera wallpaper works on a larger scale. Leaves and feather shapes move diagonally across the wall, filled with dots, ovals and dashes, with berry clusters in between in denim blue, ochre and a touch of burgundy. Whereas Tehuana is built up from flat areas of colour, Talavera consists of a mosaic of small marks. Nahua wallpaper has the scale of a fresco: large-scale hand-painted botanical motifs that cover an entire wall. Mestizo wallpaper opts for geometry, with a patchwork that looks like pieced-together textiles. Lienzo wallpaper is plain, with a fine woven texture in sand and beige.

Combining Casa Azul wallpaper in your interior

In Casa Azul by Casamance you can use the patterns and the plain design side by side. Hang Lienzo on the surrounding walls and reserve Tehuana or Talavera for one wall, so that the pattern remains the focal point. The colours match walnut wood, rattan, terracotta and green tiles. Talavera gains extra depth next to ochre and mustard yellow. Tehuana suits olive green and off-white. In this way, this Casamance wallpaper forms the basis of a room full of natural materials.
