Damaskus wallpaper by Coordonne: painted landscapes and damask patterns

The Damaskus wallpaper by Coordonne brings together two types of walls: large painted nature scenes and classic damask patterns. With the murals, the image runs the full height of the wall without any visible repeat. You see a landscape with cypresses and hills, a tree full of birds on an almost black ground and a cloudy sky in grey-blue and peach. These three differ in subject and palette, from warm through dark to light. The damask patterns work with symmetrical ornaments that repeat regularly, on gold, ochre or navy blue. So you choose between a wall that becomes a view and a wall that carries pattern.

Patterns in the Damaskus wallpaper collection

Silk Route wallpaper shows tall umbrella trees at both edges and a solitary deciduous tree in the middle, with cypresses, a river and mountains behind them under a terracotta-pink sky. The texture looks like weathered plaster. Varanasi Tree wallpaper is more flatly drawn: a symmetrically branched tree with narrow leaves, orange-brown birds and blue flower clusters on an almost black ground. Cumulus Clouds wallpaper shows only sky, loosely painted, from grey-blue at the top to ochre and white at the bottom. Damaskus View wallpaper distributes tall trees across three panels in earthy tones. Florentine Stripe wallpaper sets deep red and cream in vertical stripes. Among the damasks, French Damask wallpaper carries grey-green leaf ornaments and blue flower sprigs on ochre gold, Byzantine Damask wallpaper white acanthus scrolls on gold and Antwerp Damask wallpaper golden tendrils and scaled birds on navy blue. Venetian Damask wallpaper, Aranjuez Damask wallpaper and Chinese Damask wallpaper complete the range of ornamental patterns.

Damaskus by Coordonne in living room, dining room and bedroom

The images show how a mural can define a room. Silk Route fills a high-ceilinged living room with an arched window, where a white bouclé sofa and a marble table give the landscape space. Varanasi Tree sets the wooden furniture against an almost black ground in a dining room with white door frames. Cumulus Clouds turns the wall behind a white bed into an open sky. If you prefer pattern over view, you'll find the damasks and the stripe in the Damaskus wallpaper.
