Edition fabric by Camengo: graphic motifs in line and dot

The Edition fabric collection by Camengo is all about drawing on textile. Each pattern is built from lines or dots, usually set in two colours against each other: cream on dark green, white on caramel, black on ecru. Sometimes the line is free and sketchy, as if someone had drawn across the cloth with charcoal. Sometimes it is strict and repeats itself in a grid or in vertical strips. This allows you to combine the patterns with each other without them clashing. In the images you can see them together on armchairs, cushions and curtains.

Patterns in the Edition fabric: from sketch to grid

The freehand work begins with Fusain Velvet fabric. This is velvet in dark green or brown, with interrupted cream-coloured lines that run across the entire surface without visible repetition. Fusain fabric has the same sketching hand in lighter tones, with flowing lines in beige and taupe on ivory. Croquis fabric draws stylised silhouettes in golden brown on a lightly mottled beige background. More structured is Axio fabric, a dense grid of octagons with a white square in the centre, in caramel brown and in blue. Oryo fabric places black dotted lines in vertical strips on ecru, interrupted by diamond-shaped clusters of larger dots. Orbia fabric lets circles and half circles overlap in black, ochre, beige and cobalt blue. Finally, Tailor fabric takes its cue from the birch, with horizontal oval marks in taupe and brown as on a trunk.

Combining Edition by Camengo in your interior

Because the Edition fabric collection always works with two colours and a graphic line, you can easily combine the patterns. In the mood images, an armchair upholstered in Axio holds a cushion with winding lines, and a blue bucket chair stands in front of a curtain in Oryo. A free drawing next to a strict grid gives a room rhythm. If you want calm, choose one Camengo fabric for a large surface, such as a curtain with vertical strips.
