Essence wallpaper collection 1838 wallcoverings

Essence wallpaper by 1838 wallcoverings: blurred patterns in earth tones and green

Essence wallpaper shows what happens when paint is given free rein. In this collection by 1838 wallcoverings, edges blend into one another, lines fade and colours lie in layers over each other, as if they had been applied to the wall in watercolour. Beneath that loose visual language lies a solid structure: horizontal bands, a tile grid or a geometric network. The palette ranges from light beige and taupe via rose-brown and mauve to sea green and light blue. You get calm walls that, on closer inspection, offer plenty to look at.

Eight patterns in the Essence wallpaper collection by 1838 wallcoverings

Mineral wallpaper forms a network of diamonds, triangles and hexagons with small stars at the intersections, in taupe on light beige. The blurred lines are reminiscent of shibori. Crystalline wallpaper works with large squares like tiles, each speckled with star-shaped discolourations in rose-brown and mauve on a linen-like ground. Serenity wallpaper draws bands of faded leaf silhouettes across the wall in light green, sea green and light blue, like a reflection in water. Cascade wallpaper lets soft colours fall in flowing layers, like rain on a window. Purity wallpaper follows organic, coral-like lines. In Essence wallpaper, orchids hang between fading watercolour tones, and Honesty wallpaper depicts the round seed pods of the honesty plant in transparent colours. If you want to feel the wall as well, choose Essence Grasscloth Luxury wallpaper, made of hemp grasscloth.

Combining Essence by 1838 wallcoverings with wood, rattan and green

In the images, Essence always appears alongside materials that repeat the colours of the pattern. Mineral gets a wooden bench, raffia and pampas grass, Crystalline a dark stone basin under a wicker ceiling, Serenity a beige sofa with sage green cushions and wooden slats. This approach also works in your home: choose one colour from the wallpaper and let it reappear in textiles or furniture. This way, the 1838 wallcoverings wallpaper remains the focal point of the room.
