Essentials wallpaper collection Sandberg

Essentials wallpaper by Sandberg: calm patterns for light walls

With Essentials wallpaper you choose patterns that keep the wall calm. Sandberg's Essentials is all about light backgrounds and muted shades of grey, green and beige. In the images you see this reflected in a room under a sloping ceiling, with a white divided-light window, a wooden table and a jug full of lilacs: the wall stays in the background and what's in front of it gets the attention. The patterns are small to medium-sized and repeat regularly. Up close you can make out a check, a leaf or a berry. Those standing further away mainly see colour.

Patterns in the Essentials wallpaper collection

Ruta wallpaper is a fine check in light grey on off-white, so small that the wall looks almost plain grey from the door. Trellis wallpaper lays a diagonal trellis of narrow leafy vines across the wall, grey-green and drawn in a flat style. Idun wallpaper is freer: curved branches with lanceolate leaves and small berries in sage green, light grey and beige, layered over each other. Anna wallpaper shows ornamental grasses and birds in soft beige tones, Linne wallpaper has a green-grey texture like linen, and Karolina wallpaper lets narrow leafy vines undulate across the wall in soft green. Irene wallpaper places feathered grey-green leaves on a weathered background, Vinnie wallpaper combines grey-blue vines with brown-red accents. Furthermore, Mimi wallpaper, Raphael Mural wallpaper, Emma wallpaper, Rand wallpaper, Sten wallpaper, Valv wallpaper, Bladverk wallpaper and Kalk wallpaper belong to Sandberg's Essentials.

Essentials wallpaper next to a busier pattern and in sunlight

In the photos, Ruta and Trellis hang next to a niche with busier wallpaper: flowers like magnolia and peony, or large tree crowns in grey-green. This is how a calm pattern works as a counterbalance to a wall with more imagery. With Idun you see what sunlight does to the light leaf layers, while a dark wooden arched mirror reflects the pattern once more. A wooden table, a white jug and a branch of lilacs: this Sandberg wallpaper needs nothing more.
