Essentials Totem wallpaper by Arte: geometry with a woven character

The Essentials Totem wallpaper by Arte is all about abstract geometry: rectangles, arches and hook shapes that interlock and together form a pattern that fills the entire wall. Some of the patterns have the appearance of woven grass fibres, so the lines sit on a lively background. Ecoline, by contrast, opts for a painted visual language with visible brushstrokes. The colour palette stays close to nature: grey-brown, beige, olive green, ochre and a deep aubergine. So you can choose between calm two-colour designs and a high-contrast pattern that colours the entire room.

Patterns in the Essentials Totem wallpaper collection

Esparto Ibérico wallpaper places grey-blue contour lines over a grey-brown, woven texture. The lines form rectangles and arches that flow into each other like a labyrinth, without any solid fill. In Esparto Africano wallpaper, the image is reversed: beige rectangles of varying sizes are staggered and mostly upright, with olive green bands in between. The name refers to esparto, a strong fibre widely used in Africa for handcrafted products. Ecoline wallpaper has more contrast, with large blocks, arches and hook shapes in dark brown, ochre and off-white, executed with a watercolour effect and visible brushstrokes. Le Papier Tissé wallpaper looks like woven paper strips in light shades. Rabane wallpaper combines the rough look of woven raffia with a subtle sheen, and Infinity wallpaper uses crisp lines to bring calm to a busy pattern that looks like roughly woven grass.

Combining Arte wallpaper from Essentials Totem in your interior

In the mood images, this Arte wallpaper looks great alongside bouclé, light wood, rattan and natural stone. Esparto Ibérico sits calmly behind cream furniture and white sheers, while Esparto Africano pairs with concrete and dried flowers. Ecoline asks for colour in return: an orange sofa and wooden stools echo the ochre from the pattern. With Essentials Totem by Arte, you decide whether the wall forms the backdrop or carries the room.
