Elitis Hiroko fabric in small geometric patterns

Hiroko fabric by Elitis is built on small motifs that repeat across the cloth: chevrons, arrows, blocks and grids in ochre, taupe, caramel and cream. Up close you see the weave itself, the stepped edge of an arrow, the raised surface of a square. Step back and the pattern settles into a quiet rhythm. The photos pair these designs with dark wood, rope and chunky woven rugs, and that is where they make sense. Every design shares the same palette and the same small scale, so you can mix them in one room without the patterns fighting.

The six designs in the Hiroko fabric collection

On Makoto fabric, small mustard yellow chevrons sit in rows on a beige ground, each row split by a thin white line. On a piped seat cushion the coarse texture shows clearly. Maka fabric is darker, with brown arrow motifs lined up on a taupe ground that come alive in the folds of a curtain. Katsura fabric drops the line for a loose mosaic of squares and rectangles in cream, beige and tan, and its raised pile catches the light across a round pouf. Genzo fabric draws a dense lattice of crossed bars in cream on brown ochre, which reads like a loose weave when set into wall panels. Soji fabric runs white crossing lines over caramel brown. Ikumi fabric is the quietest of the six, with horizontal bands of light beige and sand.

Pairing Hiroko by Elitis with wood and woven textures

This Elitis fabric looks right next to rough, warm materials. In the photos you see dark wood, a knotted rope tassel and a chunky natural fiber rug. Try two patterns together, as with the Makoto cushion in front of a Maka curtain: the yellow chevron and the dark arrow hold together because the scale stays the same. A Katsura pouf gives a room with plank walls a lighter center. At Selected Wallpapers you can see all six Hiroko fabric designs side by side, which makes pairing them easier.
