Icarus wallpaper by Arte: pattern and relief in earth tones

The Icarus wallpaper by Arte is all about walls you want to touch. The patterns have a surface reminiscent of fabric or relief, in colours like terracotta, rust orange and grey-beige. Some designs carry a graphic pattern of diamonds and zigzag lines, others let only the structure speak. In the photos, the collection hangs between wooden roof beams, ochre-yellow tiles and chairs with rattan backrests, and that's where it feels at home. It's wallpaper for an interior with wood, ceramics and warm colours, where a wall may have character without shouting.

Patterns in the Icarus wallpaper collection

The Indomito wallpaper arranges diamonds, zigzag lines and arrow-shaped figures in vertical columns, drawn with dots resembling embroidery stitches, light beige on reddish-brown. Raffia and jute give the background a visible weave. With the Alata wallpaper, the scale becomes smaller. Nested hexagons and diamonds form a cube effect, built up from short diagonal hatch strokes in cream on rust orange, with a jute pattern embroidered with coloured thread on sisal. If you're not looking for a motif, choose Penumbra wallpaper: a grey-beige relief of horizontal wavy ridges made from hand-woven bakbak strands. The Telaio wallpaper lays woven raffia in a calm block pattern that looks like patchwork. The Armalu wallpaper is the narrative pattern, with a fable-like panorama around a creature with mythical presence on a parchment-like background.

Combining Arte wallpaper from Icarus with wood and tiles

The images show where these patterns come into their own. Untreated wood, glossy tiles in ochre and old earthenware complement the colours of Indomito and Alata. Penumbra also works on cabinet doors, where the ridges replace a smooth front with texture. Choose a pattern for the wall around the fireplace or in the dining room and keep the rest of the space calm. This way the Icarus wallpaper remains the focal point.
