Matieres Precieuses wallpaper by Nobilis: texture in natural tones

The Matieres Precieuses wallpaper by Nobilis is all about surface, not pattern. On the wall you see horizontal structures in cream, sand, camel and ochre, sometimes with a soft sheen of viscose or a glimmer of metal. Up close you can make out the threads and slubs. From a distance the wall becomes a single warm surface. The images show how this works next to travertine, brass and ceramic: the wallpaper gives the room depth without demanding attention. That makes the collection suitable for those seeking calm in a space that still has something to say.

Patterns in the Matieres Precieuses wallpaper collection

Daphne wallpaper has the coarsest texture: irregular streaks in cream and ochre, like woven grass, with high contrast between light and dark. Fiamma wallpaper is the opposite, with fine, even ribbing in sand and taupe where viscose provides a subtle sheen. Ombre wallpaper sits in between. In the camel-coloured fibres, matt and glossy wefts alternate. If you want more sparkle, look at Alba wallpaper with glittering accents of lurex yarn, or at Aube wallpaper, a linen weave with a metallic application. Divine wallpaper also works with a metallic sheen, warm in tone. Java wallpaper gives the classic check pattern a textured print reminiscent of sisal. Lapis wallpaper forms textured waves in several shades. Lioube wallpaper completes the range.

Combining Matieres Precieuses by Nobilis with travertine and brass

The natural beige tones of the Matieres Precieuses wallpaper call for materials with their own grain. In the photos Daphne stands next to a glass table with brass legs and a cream armchair, Fiamma behind a wall shelf of travertine with ceramics. Ombre gets contrast from a black scribble drawing in a gold frame. If you choose a fine structure, the wall stays in the background. With a coarse texture like that of Daphne, the wall itself becomes the subject.
