Memoires Colorees wallpaper collection Pierre Frey

Memoires Colorees wallpaper by Pierre Frey: painted textile on the wall

Memoires Colorees wallpaper brings textile motifs to the wall as if they were hand-painted. Ikat, embroidery and abstract compositions are given a visible brushstroke in this collection by Pierre Frey: edges blur and the paint leaves streaks, making the pattern feel more like fabric than print. The colours are bold. Deep blue and turquoise sit alongside orange, coral red and yellow-green. In the mood images, the pattern sometimes continues up over the ceiling, so the entire room is enveloped in the motif. With this collection you choose a wall that gives the space its own story.

Patterns in the Memoires Colorees wallpaper collection

Viva La Vida wallpaper places oval medallions with a beige-gold flower branch in a diamond-shaped ikat grid of blue and green. Happiness wallpaper also works with ikat, but in horizontal rows of blue V-shapes, striped shields and white branched figures on turquoise. Bebelle wallpaper lets go of that strict repetition: orange rosettes, yellow-green oak leaves and yellow grid surfaces are densely and irregularly intermingled. Les Pivoines wallpaper shows branched shapes resembling coral, Noisette wallpaper a scale pattern in beige and taupe and Cancun wallpaper ochre-yellow bands with braided strips. Cactus wallpaper places white hand-drawn motifs on a beige ground; L'atelier d'isabelle 2 wallpaper is an abstract composition of brushstrokes in ochre and terracotta. You'll also find Frida wallpaper, Casa wallpaper, Macao wallpaper, Izamal wallpaper, Palette wallpaper, Youth wallpaper, Plisse Plumes wallpaper and Sinularia wallpaper.

Combining Pierre Frey wallpaper with textiles and colour

In the images of Memoires Colorees by Pierre Frey, you see how freely the patterns interact with other textiles. Above the panelling hangs Viva La Vida, below it a green stripe pattern with pink and orange herringbone tendrils. Next to Bebelle hangs a suzani with red circles and on the floor lies a rug with related motifs. A red chair or console in front makes the orange and blue even brighter. If you love pattern on pattern, you've come to the right place.
