Tramis wallpaper by Casamance: plain woven textures in earth tones

With Tramis wallpaper you choose a wall that relies on texture, not on pattern. Casamance composed this collection from woven surfaces in camel, grey-green, ochre and light beige. Up close you see how the threads run: sometimes fine and regular like linen, sometimes coarse with thick and thin strands mixed together. From a distance the wall reads as one calm plane with depth. In the images the wallpaper even covers cabinet doors, with the seams running as thin lines through the design. Dark wood, ceramic and natural stone stand out beautifully against it.

Patterns in the Tramis wallpaper collection

Kira wallpaper has a fine, regular linen weave in camel and is constructed from woven paper fibre. Up close the weave is clearly visible; from a distance it becomes an even plane. Palawan wallpaper is coarser: thick and thin threads interweave horizontally and vertically, creating a raffia-like look in grey-green. Fibrosa wallpaper shows a small braided texture, like a basket weave, in ochre and golden brown. In the lifestyle photo it covers both the wall and the ceiling of a niche. Silvara wallpaper combines jute yarn embroidery with a woven paper background, in a rhythm reminiscent of wood grain. The collection's namesake, Tramis wallpaper, follows the evenly divided surface of Japanese woven paper, with horizontal and vertical strands crossing each other in a grid.

Combining Casamance wallpaper with wood, stone and ceramic

Because the patterns of Tramis by Casamance are all plain, they work well side by side. The Fibrosa image shows how this works: an ochre-coloured niche between lighter side walls gives a console its own frame. If you choose Kira or Palawan, the wall forms a calm background for objects with a distinctive shape, such as a ribbed vase, a wooden side table or a glazed stool. The texture remains visible without demanding all the attention.
