Sequana wallpaper collection Pierre Frey

Sequana wallpaper by Pierre Frey: texture and ornament on a small scale

Sequana wallpaper by Pierre Frey is all about the wall as a surface: small patterns and structures that fill the entire wall without one motif claiming all the attention. In the images you see a light green damask on a cream background behind a bed, a plain mustard yellow wall with a grainy texture and a multi-coloured weave effect that up close looks like mélange linen. Look further and you'll find checks, grids, woven structures and semi-plains in earth tones. These are walls that give a painting, a lacquered console or an upholstered headboard space to breathe.

Patterns in the Sequana wallpaper collection

Fili wallpaper places small medallions and leaf tendrils in light green close together on a cream background, in a relief that gently catches the light. Nova wallpaper is plain, with a fine grain. In mustard yellow, a wall with bronze battens becomes a warm surface. Sligo wallpaper imitates a weave of crossing threads in red, green, blue and beige, with horizontal thickenings that make the surface vibrate. Ardara wallpaper opts for a large check in cream, blue-grey and terracotta with aqua green accents. Tralee wallpaper works with small, irregular checks in relief, Waterford wallpaper with a grid with ikat influences in jade, natural and marmalade. Briig wallpaper is a semi-plain in honey, rope and moss tones with small contrasting dots, while Glais wallpaper lets vertical lines of varying widths intermingle in pink-beige tones. Carlow wallpaper, Tramore wallpaper and Derry wallpaper complete the range.

Combining Sequana by Pierre Frey with colour and art

Because most patterns don't have a large motif, you decide where the accent lies. Fili's green ornament can easily handle an aubergine door and terracotta wall lights. Against Nova's grainy texture, a terrazzo table and a checked throw stand out well. Sligo holds its own next to a petrol blue wall and a red window frame, because those colours are already in the weave. This way, Sequana wallpaper becomes the background against which your art and furniture speak.
