40th Anniversary wallpaper collection Coordonne

40th Anniversary wallpaper by Coordonne: thirty patterns, thirty signatures

With the 40th Anniversary wallpaper, Coordonne celebrates forty years of existence, and the brand does so by handing the wall over to others. Each design comes from a different artist, and it shows. A red wall with lions around a tree hangs in the same collection as a patchwork of stripes and a petrol-blue sea full of quirky fish. There is no house style that evens everything out. What the patterns share is the repetition across the entire wall and a pronounced visual language of their own. So here you're choosing a signature rather than a colour.

Patterns in the 40th Anniversary wallpaper collection by Coordonne

In Brianda Fitz-James Stuart - Medieval Tapestry wallpaper, two rearing yellow lions face each other under a tree with a blue canopy. The red ground full of small plants is drawn flat, like a tapestry. Mireia Ruiz - Landscape wallpaper is abstract: irregular shapes filled with stripes in yellow, pink, green, orange and two shades of blue. Joana Santamans - Peces Santamans wallpaper shows pufferfish and flying fish swimming diagonally across petrol blue. Plants and animals recur frequently, as the titles of Mercedes Bellido - Serpientes Y Flores wallpaper, Jose Manuel Hortelano-Pi - Botanico wallpaper, Ciszak Dalmas - Algae wallpaper, Catalina Estrada - Selva de tigres wallpaper, Guille Garcia-Hoz - Ceramic Fauna wallpaper, Pascua Ortega - Urban Garden wallpaper, Andrea Zarraluqui - Leaf Craze wallpaper, La Bien Querida - Flor de Cactus wallpaper, Ailanto - Nenufare wallpaper, Paisaje Con Flamencos wallpaper, Wetlands Sunrise Flight wallpaper and Abe the Ape - El Bosque Animado wallpaper reveal. Furthermore, there are Jordi Labanda - Le Reve wallpaper, Zosen - Sabor Mediterraneo wallpaper, Ernesto Artillo - Make Down wallpaper, Tyen Masten - Pacifica wallpaper, Isabelle Feliu - One day at the Beach wallpaper, Coco Daves - Cosmic Childhood wallpaper, Elvira Solana - Tierra wallpaper, Paravent des amandiers - Amaro Sanchez de Moya wallpaper, Juan Gatti - Rue Babylone wallpaper and Lorenzo Meazza - Mirabelle wallpaper.

Choosing Coordonne wallpaper from the 40th Anniversary wallpaper collection

Take the background colour into account. The red of Medieval Tapestry is enough on its own to fill a narrow wall between two windows, while the petrol blue of Peces Santamans makes a wall dark and deep. If you're less into nature, then the names of Bobby Clark - Shape Study wallpaper, Mut Design Studio - Grids wallpaper, Noemie Cedile - Architopie wallpaper, Olimpia Zagnoli - Repetita Luvant wallpaper and Elena Reig - Espejismo Modernista wallpaper point more towards form, grid, architecture and repetition.
