Lumières Boréales wallpaper by Pierre Frey: Scandinavian flowers and folk art

The Lumières Boréales wallpaper by Pierre Frey brings the floral and plant motifs of Scandinavian interiors to your wall. Little roses run upwards in stripes, leaf tendrils form diamonds and folk art motifs stand in panels side by side, drawn as if embroidered with needle and thread. The backgrounds resemble linen or moiré, making the wall look as if upholstered with fabric. In the mood images, a rope moulding repeatedly appears, dividing the wall horizontally. Below it you see plain sage green or simply the same pattern. Checked cushions, wooden furniture and candlelight complete the picture.

Combining Pierre Frey wallpaper with checks, rattan and rope mouldings

The Lumières Boréales wallpaper calls for textiles that pick up the colour of the pattern. Mariefred suits red-and-white striped and checked cushions, Decor Scandinave gets a blue-and-white checked tablecloth and wildflowers, and Fleurs de Givre matches rattan, terracotta and dark wood. A rope moulding halfway up or at the bottom of the wall provides structure. Below it you can choose plain paint in a shade from the pattern or the same wallpaper.
