Lux wallpaper from Texam: dark walls with large-scale pattern

Lux wallpaper from Texam is all about deep colour and a pattern that covers the entire wall. In the images you see petrol blue, burgundy and a brown that is almost black, each on a background that looks like woven textile. The motif runs tone-on-tone and is so large in scale that you only see it in full across the entire height of the wall. Within that shared foundation each pattern has its own design language: clean geometry, horizontal waves or fanning leaves. This gives you one family with clearly different characters.

Patterns in the Lux wallpaper collection

Quantum wallpaper draws a grid of thin green lines on petrol blue. Squares with diagonals together form triangles and eight-pointed stars, with roughly three sections over the height of the wall. Waves wallpaper has ragged bands running horizontally across the wall, like water or layers of rock, from bright red to burgundy and purple. Flowers wallpaper is botanical: grey lines fan out into large, overlapping bundles that recall palm leaves, on a background of dark brown to black. With Particle wallpaper the emphasis is on a vertical effect with a subtle sheen. Electromagnetic wallpaper mixes colour and texture and comes in gold, silver, white and black among others. Spiga wallpaper gets its playful structure from a laser treatment, just like Cosmo wallpaper, where that process gives the surface a rich look.

Choosing Lux from Texam by colour and design language

Because the background in these patterns is dark and saturated, you choose mainly on the basis of shape and colour. Quantum hangs in the photo behind a blue velvet sofa with a brass floor lamp. Waves is shown next to a mauve armchair and copper vases, Flowers next to a cream-coloured chair and dark leather. With this Texam wallpaper the wall becomes a dark backdrop against which your furniture and lamps stand out.
