Elitis Marqueteries wallpaper with the look of real wood

Marqueteries wallpaper by Elitis brings the look of wood to your walls, with grain you can follow from ceiling to floor. In some designs the wood runs in long, unbroken bands. In others it is cut into squares and pieced back together into a pattern, the way a cabinetmaker sets marquetry into a tabletop. The colors in the images run from pale honey through medium brown to nearly black. Growth rings, flames and grain stay visible throughout. What changes is the layout, and with it the mood of the room.

Designs in the Marqueteries wallpaper collection

Seve wallpaper is the quiet one. It shows medium brown, oak-like grain in vertical strips with no pattern laid over it, so the wall reads as continuous paneling. Le Roi Soleil wallpaper sets dark brown, almost black wood into squares, and thin light gold lines on each square form a sunburst or a cluster of parallel strokes. Fragments wallpaper turns that around with pale honey end grain, growth rings and all, cut into triangles and fans with narrow beige gaps between the pieces. Feuilles d'Or wallpaper carries a pronounced tile pattern, and Empreintes wallpaper pairs a block layout with the growth rings of the wood. Le Jeu de Dame wallpaper is built from interlocking diamonds, which turn wavy in colors 71/72 and 82.

Marqueteries by Elitis in a study, hallway and dining room

The room shots show how far apart these designs sit. Seve hangs behind a reddish-brown desk with a brass lamp and gives the corner the feel of a paneled study. Le Roi Soleil makes a hallway with taupe plaster and a marble mosaic floor dark and graphic. Fragments lightens a dining area beside a dark marble table and tall windows. For warmth, go with the continuous grain. For rhythm, pick a pieced pattern. At Selected Wallpapers you can browse all six designs of Elitis Marqueteries wallpaper in one place.
