Elitis Matieres Vegetales wallpaper in woven fiber and palm prints

Matieres Vegetales wallpaper brings the look of plaited and woven plant fiber to your walls. Elitis built the collection around banana leaf, rattan, abaca and raffia, and the strands are drawn so closely that you can follow each crossing. On the wall, the weave designs read as straw and tan panels set in a grid, with the seams left visible like tiles. Two designs move away from the basket theme altogether with big palm fronds and a jungle full of animals. Pair them with oak, cane and travertine, and the room stays warm and calm.

Designs in the Matieres Vegetales wallpaper collection

Buri wallpaper takes its cue from plaited banana leaves. Narrow strips form a fine diagonal check in straw beige, with lighter and darker patches drifting across the grid. Rotin wallpaper uses the same idea at a coarser scale, a crosshatched rattan weave in light tan lined with brown. Abaca wallpaper drops the panels for a plain weave of fine threads, shown in mid-green with soft stripes. Raphia wallpaper is also a plain design, drawn from woven raffia. Speranza wallpaper turns coarse-looking woven leaves into a geometric pattern. Manihi wallpaper covers the wall in oversized palm fronds, sketched in light green and olive over a dark green ground with a woven texture showing through. Costalegre wallpaper fills a colorful jungle with a monkey, a flamingo, a leopard and parrots.

The room shots point the way: oak and cane furniture, travertine, white ceramics and a single black accent. Buri and Rotin suit a kitchen or a seating area where you want straw and caramel tones around you. Abaca in green sets off a white cabinet or a wooden armchair. Manihi and Costalegre bring the tropical side with more color while keeping the botanical base.
