Elitis Ortigia wallpaper with a limestone and plaster look

Ortigia wallpaper brings the look of old limestone walls into your home. Elitis builds the designs shown here on a deep green ground, mottled like weathered plaster in one pattern and finely layered like stone in another. Every design has relief and a whitewash effect, so the wall reads as if it was brushed with lime. From there the range moves from a quiet texture to a drawn mural of panels and trees. In the photos, walnut, terracotta tile and an orange corner bench look warmer against all that green.

Designs in the Ortigia wallpaper collection

Agrigente wallpaper has no motif at all. Light green and mint patches drift over dark green with no visible repeat, so a corner or a whole room reads as one continuous plaster surface. Travertin wallpaper is calmer and smaller in scale, with fine horizontal striations in green and pale flecks that recall layered stone. Disegno wallpaper is a large mural of trompe-l'oeil wall panels, drawn in white chalk lines on a mottled green-black ground. You see a fruit tree above grass, a tree inside an octagonal frame with a sawtooth border and a leafy vine climbing the corner wall. One panel stays empty. For a cleaner wall, Osorno wallpaper works with crisp shapes and lines. Retour des Indes wallpaper shows a botanical landscape full of flowers and foliage.

Styling Ortigia by Elitis with wood and terracotta

Because the whitewash effect makes the surface look lime-treated, this Elitis wallpaper sits easily with natural materials. Choose Agrigente or Travertin as a quiet backdrop for wooden furniture, ceramics and wrought iron. Disegno turns one wall into a drawn room, which works well above a sofa or a dining table. At Selected Wallpapers you can compare all five Ortigia designs side by side before you settle on the one that suits your room.
