Palm Garden wallpaper by Sandberg: palms, bamboo and scarab beetles

The Palm Garden wallpaper brings the tropics indoors with motifs from the plant world and animal kingdom. Palm leaves, bamboo, ferns and passion flowers alternate with peacocks, monkeys, turtles and small golden beetles. Many patterns stick to two or three colours, so even a busy scene remains calm on the wall. The differences lie in scale and density. You choose between a small motif with plenty of space around it, a densely drawn pattern and a wall mural that fills an entire wall with bamboo.

Patterns in the Palm Garden wallpaper collection

The smallest motif is found on Audrey wallpaper: golden yellow scarab beetles, flatly drawn and distributed in staggered rows over a mottled dark green. Moa wallpaper is a toile in blue on greyish beige, densely filled with palms, ferns, passion flowers, peacocks, monkeys and turtles. Bamboo on a large scale can be seen on Leon Mural wallpaper, a panoramic wall mural with silhouette-like leaves in multiple shades of green and a faint second layer behind it. Leon wallpaper shows the same subject with slender stems and drooping leaves on an ivory ground, in shades from dark green to sage. Jasmine wallpaper sets golden palm fronds against a deep brown-green, while Tom wallpaper lets large banana leaves in shades of green run across a soft pink background. On Milo wallpaper different palm species stand freely against a sand tone, with tufts of grass at their base. Louie wallpaper shows palms of varying heights, with hatched trunks and feathered leaves in dark and soft green.

Palm Garden by Sandberg in bathroom, bedroom and dining room

The photos show how scale defines a space. In a bathroom with a white niche, Audrey keeps the walls dark and calm, while the beetles only stand out up close. Moa fills the wall behind a brass four-poster bed with a continuous scene. In a dining room with tall windows and striped curtains, the bamboo of Leon Mural turns the wall into an indoor garden. This makes this Sandberg wallpaper suitable for both a small room and a wall that demands attention.
