Elitis Pamir wallpaper with a raw silk look

Pamir wallpaper from Elitis gives your walls the slubbed, horizontal grain of raw silk, in colors that stay close to the earth. The images show taupe-brown, olive, gold and a soft pink. What changes from design to design is the pattern. One wall is plain and lets the texture do the work. Another is filled with hand-painted squares, and a third with rectangles that overlap like patchwork. Pamir by Elitis appears here in a dining room with cane chairs and a living area with stone stairs, so you can judge how each surface reads in a furnished room.

Designs in the Pamir wallpaper collection

Forever II wallpaper is plain taupe-brown with a fine horizontal slub, and only the seams between panels shift slightly in tone. In the dining room it sits behind a travertine table under a copper pendant. Talisman wallpaper sets large squares in a loose grid, each with a gold metallic center, a pale pink field, a white band and double brown outlines that look painted by hand. Transgression wallpaper fits olive and gold-green rectangles of mixed sizes into an interlocking patchwork, with a vertical grain running through every block. Tashkent wallpaper pairs a pronounced relief with a subtly mottled surface. Zenith wallpaper is built from bold color blocks and crisp geometric shapes. Shiraz wallpaper has a block pattern that looks set by hand, with a sheen that changes as you move past the wall.

Styling Pamir wallpaper with stone, cane and wood

The photos show how these walls pick up the materials around them. Travertine and gray stone echo the paler tones, while cane and dark wood draw out the brown and gold. With Transgression or Talisman the wall becomes the focal point, so keep the furniture simple. Forever II leaves room for a copper lamp or a patterned rug.
