Pompei wallpaper collection Coordonne

Pompei wallpaper by Coordonne: marble, papyrus and olive branches

The Pompei wallpaper by Coordonne draws its motifs from stone, plants and the floors and walls of Roman villas. In the images you see three facets of this collection. A wall full of winding marble veins in black, cream and ochre yellow. Fans of papyrus leaves, drawn with fine lines on a mottled, plaster-like background. And olive branches climbing upwards in bronze and gold-beige over a black background. These three patterns continue across the entire wall and look as if they have been drawn or painted by hand. The colours stay earthy: beige, dusty pink, taupe, bronze.

Marmorea wallpaper has an abstract look, with large, merging patches and veins on a light background and no obvious repeat. Papyrus wallpaper arranges the leaf fans in diagonal, scale-like rows on a medium scale. Olivetum wallpaper is smaller and more densely filled, with narrow leaves and olives that gain depth through shadow. For geometry, look at Pavimentum wallpaper, Mosaicum wallpaper and Geometricum wallpaper, which refer back to Roman floor mosaics. Thermae wallpaper references ancient bathhouses with columns, plants and fresco-like scenes, and Maiorum wallpaper draws on the architecture, murals and ornaments of old villas. Frutetto wallpaper, Columnarum wallpaper, Arianna wallpaper and Forum wallpaper complete Pompei by Coordonne.

Combining Pompei wallpaper with wood, earthenware and bronze

In the lifestyle images, the Coordonne wallpaper is placed behind furniture in warm wood and next to earthenware. Marmorea hangs in a dining area with a table with rounded corners and cognac-coloured chairs, Papyrus behind a walnut dresser with a terracotta vase. Olivetum has a bronze-coloured cabinet and a dark red panel as neighbours. Papyrus keeps things calm on light beige, Marmorea brings movement and the black background of Olivetum gives a wall weight.
