Sauvages wallpaper collection Elitis

Elitis Sauvages wallpaper with photographic animal hide

Sauvages wallpaper puts the coat of wild cats and cattle on your wall in photographic detail. You can follow the direction of the hair, the shift from cream to ochre and the dark brown rosettes of a leopard. Elitis seldom lets the hide run as one sheet. More often it is cut up and relaid in rectangles, polygons or a herringbone, so the wall reads as fur and as pattern at once. The palette stays earthy: sand and taupe moving into brown, with an occasional gray-green patch.

Patterns in the Sauvages wallpaper collection, from spots to patchwork

L'Habit de Venus wallpaper is a patchwork of large rectangular and L-shaped patches in cream, beige, tan, brown and gray that overlap across the whole wall. Pampa wallpaper breaks the hide into smaller irregular polygons that lock together like flagstone, with shadowed seams that suggest relief. Sante Fe wallpaper lays the fur in a herringbone, Panthere wallpaper divides a panther hide into geometric planes and Blasons wallpaper shows cowhide with lines that look stitched on. If you want the animal itself, choose Leopard wallpaper: oversized dark brown spots on orange, tan and cream, running as one image across the wall. Tigre Royal wallpaper turns a tiger hide into a set of wall panels, L'Appel de la Foret wallpaper is a panel set showing a leopard in its natural habitat, and Veracruz wallpaper rounds out the collection.

Styling Sauvages by Elitis with concrete, wood and plants

In the photos these designs hang alongside concrete ceilings, pale wood and large green plants. Sauvages wallpaper needs little competition from its surroundings. Cream armless chairs nearly disappear into the light patches of L'Habit de Venus, while black chairs and a green-tiled table stand out against Pampa. With Leopard, give the wall room and keep furniture low and dark, like the black slatted bench in the image.
