Wall Designs wallpaper by Masureel: murals, stripes and ornaments

The Wall Designs wallpaper by Masureel shows how much one wall can carry. Take three patterns side by side. In the first, a row of stylised vases and jugs rises almost the full height of the wall against a beige plaster ground. In the second, a fine stripe in pink, ochre and lilac runs from corner to corner. The third fills the wall with flowers and curling leaves in cream and light brown. All three have a warm base. The difference lies in scale and contrast: large and bold, small and mixed, or calm tone-on-tone.

Patterns in the Wall Designs wallpaper collection

Potteries wallpaper places vases and jugs as flat silhouettes side by side, some with wavy or comb-shaped edges and an offset shadow, in terracotta, rust brown and ochre with two cobalt purple accents. Pai-Pai wallpaper is reminiscent of woven sisal: horizontal fibre stripes without a motif, in fuchsia, orange and a touch of turquoise. Idilia wallpaper keeps the colour contrast low, with a dense ornament of flowers and leaves painted in flat sections. If you want a landscape on the wall, look at the panoramas: Nebula wallpaper shows mountains, Salcey wallpaper a hand-drawn forest and Awarra wallpaper a tropical palm landscape. Yucatan wallpaper combines lush plants with geometric shapes, while Luana wallpaper uses colour in the spirit of a fresco. You'll also find Alcove wallpaper, Somerset wallpaper, Hiva wallpaper and Willow wallpaper in this Masureel wallpaper collection.

Wall Designs by Masureel in a minimally furnished space

In the photos, the patterns are shown in rooms with little furniture, and it works. Against Potteries, a burl wood table and a concrete floor keep the attention on the wall. Pai-Pai is balanced by a black, grooved plinth with a cactus, Idilia by a dark wood sofa and a white high-pile rug. The busier the Wall Designs wallpaper, the less you need to place in front of it.
