Wallcoverings Vol. 2 by Kirkby Design

Wallcoverings Vol. 2 wallpaper by Kirkby Design: graphic and hand-drawn walls

Wallcoverings Vol. 2 wallpaper by Kirkby Design is all about designs that show the hand of the maker. You'll find a checkerboard that looks block-printed, scribbles that run across the wall and collages of paper scraps and tape. Most of the patterns are abstract. Some are crisply geometric, while others look spontaneously drawn. This lets you choose a wall with rhythm or a wall with movement, all within one collection that shares the same handmade look.

Patterns in the Wallcoverings Vol. 2 wallpaper collection

Checkerboard Wallcovering wallpaper sets upright rectangles in rows, ochre yellow against off-white, with the occasional block of three or four narrow stripes. The grid has a hand-blocked feel. Checkerboard Metallic Wallcovering wallpaper repeats that grid with a metallic print in silver, bronze or gold. In the gold version, the blocks light up where the light catches them. Scribble Wallcovering wallpaper is the opposite: small black scribbles on off-white, in velvety-soft flock. Fragment Wallcovering wallpaper gathers scraps of paper and masking tape, coloured in with wax crayon. Tear Wallcovering wallpaper is a digitally printed collage of recycled pieces of corrugated paper. Stars Wallcovering wallpaper shows geometric stars that were originally drawn by hand, and Twist Wallcovering wallpaper lets shapes intersect with a 3D effect.

Combining Kirkby Design wallpaper with wood, velvet and ceramics

In the images, Checkerboard hangs behind an oak sideboard with block-shaped fronts, and slanting sunlight makes the yellow even warmer. The metallic version is balanced by a black oval console and a dark blue vase. Next to Scribble stands an armchair in dark blue velvet with the same motif in white, so that wall and chair mirror each other. With Wallcoverings Vol. 2 wallpaper, you can create contrast or let the pattern reappear in your upholstery.
