Abril wallpaper with hanging wisteria

Abril wallpaper lets the winding branches of a flowering climbing plant hang down from the top edge of your wall. The clusters resemble wisteria, framed by pointed leaves, with the odd loose leaf drifting downwards here and there. It is one continuous image without a pattern repeat: the foliage fills roughly the top third, while the rest of the wall stays empty. That very calm gives the branches room to breathe. At true scale, the clusters reach down some 40 to 80 centimetres.

Colours of Abril wallpaper: Ocre and Piedra

In Ocre, yellow-orange clusters sit among olive and light green leaves on a cream ground with grayish-brown branches. It feels warm, like late afternoon sun on a limewashed wall. Piedra opts for purple-violet flowers and green leaves on warm beige, with faint pink clouds and grayish-beige branches. Both grounds are mottled and lightly striated, as if painted on old paper. The loose brushstrokes of watercolour or gouache remain visible. This Coordonne wallpaper is also available in Rosado and Ultramar.

Abril wallpaper by Coordonne in the bedroom

In the mood photo, the design hangs behind a bed with a rough wooden headboard, white bed linen and dark bedside tables. The branches continue onto the side wall, blurring the corner so that the room seems to lie beneath a canopy of leaves. The empty lower section leaves space for furniture without it clashing with the image. Wood, jute and earthenware complement the warm ground. View all designs in the Coordonne wallpaper collection.
