Blueprint wallpaper by Inkiostro Bianco: a line drawing of slender arches

Blueprint wallpaper traces a fine line drawing across your wall. It is built up from narrow, elongated arches that stand in columns above and beside one another, like capsules or tall windows. Where the arches meet, circles overlap and form four-petalled figures that resemble a diamond. The whole design reads like a technical drawing, with a fine grid of dots within the shapes. Up close you can see that texture. From a distance, the geometric pattern becomes a calm, continuous rhythm across the entire wall.

Colourways of Blueprint wallpaper: Moss A and Moss B

In Moss A, dark green lines sit on a gray-green ground, with thin white circular lines outlining the four-petalled shapes. The contrast is crisp and the drawing stands out clearly. Moss B reverses this. White lines run over the same gray-green, while the four-petalled figures are filled in slightly darker. This version looks softer and flatter. Alongside these two, the Italian brand Inkiostro Bianco also makes the design in Ink, Brick and Plaster, each in an A and a B version.

Inkiostro Bianco wallpaper with vertical arches in your interior

In the mood photo, a single arch is around 25 to 30 centimetres tall and about 10 centimetres wide. This allows four rows to fit above a wainscot of gray stone tiles. The vertical lines draw your eye upwards and give the wall height. Next to a freestanding white bath, a brass tap and warm wood, the gray-green really comes into its own.
