Kinetix wallpaper by Inkiostro Bianco: ribs that shift

Kinetix wallpaper places a dense row of narrow vertical ribs on your wall, as if straws or cords were standing tightly side by side. Here and there, a section of one of these tubes turns darker and shifts just slightly. Together, those offset sections form stepped horizontal patches and waves, like an image that glitches for a moment. The design is drawn as a 3D render, with shadow and sheen, and printed flat. You see depth, but the wall stays smooth.

Colours of Kinetix wallpaper

Inkiostro Bianco offers this design in six colourways: Verde Fango, Lavanda and Avio, each in an A and a B version. In Verde Fango A, light gray-white ribs sit alongside gray-green sections in khaki, a combination that works well with wood, natural stone and copper. Lavanda A sets beige-gray ribs against mauve, softer and warmer in tone. Because the contrast stays low, up close you see the shifting rhythm, while from a distance you mainly see a lively texture.

Inkiostro Bianco wallpaper in the bathroom

In the mood photo, the pattern continues across two walls of a bathroom, above gray-green wainscoting with a brass strip. The ribs, roughly one to two centimetres wide, draw your eye upwards, while the dark patches keep the wall in motion. Copper-colored taps, a wooden vanity unit and a brown towel bring out the warmth of the khaki. You'll find more designs in the Inkiostro Bianco wallpaper collection.
