Velor wallpaper with a misty river landscape

Velor wallpaper by INSTABILELAB paints a landscape you seem to see from afar: hills dissolving into mist, with a river winding into the picture from the bottom left. Broad brushstrokes lay bands across the wall, and between them you see specks and pits, as if it had been painted on concrete. The river itself is filled with white wavy lines. Over the upper half lies a fine line grid of interlocking arches that dissolves into the paint further down. It is one continuous image without a repeating motif.

Colours of Velor wallpaper

In color 01 the wall starts light gray, almost white, and descends through bands of taupe and rosy brown to gray-blue. The river remains bright white. Colour 02 is cooler: a white to light blue sky, gray-blue hills shading into petrol, and a light blue river with white lines. There is also a third colourway, 03, which is not shown here. Both variants shown keep the top light, giving the wall a sense of space towards the top while the weight sits at the bottom.

INSTABILELAB wallpaper as a wall-filling image

In the lifestyle photo, Velor wallpaper covers an entire wall in a white patio, with a black wire chair and a small white side table with books in front of it. This shows how it works: the image calls for a surface you can take in at a single glance, and for furniture that stays low. The line grid has cells of around ten centimetres, so up close you read a graphic layer that fades away at a distance. The design is part of the I.Magine wallpaper collection.
