Selected PRO | Luxury Wallpaper for Interior Professionals
Selected PRO is here for interior professionals looking for more than just luxury wallpaper. With our expertise, personal advice, a wide selection of international design brands and a studio full of sample books in Montfoort, we help you find the right wall covering — or the wallpaper that becomes the starting point of your design.
What if your design starts with the wallpaper?
An interior can begin with a floor plan, a work of art, a special fabric or a piece of furniture. But what happens when you take the wall as your starting point?
A distinctive pattern can determine the colour palette for an entire space. A textile wall covering can guide the material plan. A subtle relief can bring exactly the calm an interior needs.
At Selected Wallpapers, we therefore look at wallpaper differently. For us, the wall is not the finishing touch of an interior design. Luxury wallpaper can be the beginning of the design.

As experts in luxury wallpaper, we work daily with interior designers, interior architects, stylists, wallpaper installers, painters and other interior professionals. With Selected PRO, we bring together three pillars that are inseparably connected to good interior design for us: expertise, advice and inspiration.
"Which wallpaper suits my design? Or: which wallpaper becomes the starting point of my design?"
Both questions belong at the design table as far as we're concerned.
Not one brand, but your design as the starting point
A wallpaper brand has its own signature, design vision and collection. That's exactly what makes a strong brand interesting. But as an interior professional, you don't work from one signature. Each project requires a different approach.
That's an important difference between working with one brand and working with Selected Wallpapers.
We bring together a wide selection of international wallpaper brands and collections. This allows us to advise across brands, collections and styles. Not the collection of one manufacturer forms the starting point, but the interior concept you're working on.
Are you looking for a natural, almost architectural texture? A handmade wall covering where the craftsmanship remains visible? A distinctive panoramic pattern? A geometric pattern for a Neo Deco interior? Or a classic print that adds more layering to a contemporary design?
Then we can place different design visions, materials and collections side by side.
That's the freedom of choice we want to offer interior professionals.
"Your design is the starting point. Our collection is the playing field."

Expertise in luxury wallpaper
A lot of choice is only valuable if you also know what to look for. Luxury wall covering goes beyond colour and pattern. Material, relief, gloss level, scale, repeat, substrate and light incidence ultimately determine how a wall comes into its own in the space.

A subtle structure can suddenly become much more pronounced in raking light. A metallic detail changes throughout the day with the incoming light. A large pattern can be impressive in a sample book, but requires sufficient space to come fully into its own. And a natural or textile wall covering requires a different approach than regular non-woven wallpaper.
It's precisely these nuances that we find interesting.
We therefore don't just look at what's beautiful, but especially at why something works within a specific interior.
That's expertise for us.
Advice that starts with the interior concept
Good advice doesn't start with pointing out a roll of wallpaper.
We first want to understand what you're designing. What architecture is present? Which materials have already been chosen? How does the daylight fall? What atmosphere do you want to create? Should the wall bring calm, connect different materials or take centre stage?
From these questions, we can advise specifically about colour, pattern, scale and material.
Sometimes that means a wall covering supports the existing concept. Sometimes exactly the opposite happens and one special wallpaper becomes the starting point for the entire interior.
From such a pattern, you can then build up the colour plan, select upholstery and materials, determine which structures reinforce each other and further highlight the layering of the wall with a lighting plan.
Wallpaper then becomes not decoration, but a design material.
Inspiration you want to see in real life

Online we can inspire almost endlessly, but you ultimately want to see and feel luxury wallpaper. Material, relief, gloss and colour nuances simply can't be fully assessed from a screen.
That's why we make it as easy as possible for Selected PRO professionals to experience collections physically too — in our studio in Montfoort and through our sample service.
In our studio you'll find a very extensive collection of sample books from exclusive wallpaper brands. You can place different brands side by side, feel structures, compare colours and view patterns on a larger scale. Bring your mood board, fabrics and material samples and browse through the books yourself, or let us think along with you.
As a PRO professional, you're also very welcome to come to our studio together with your client. This way you can place your design and material plan directly next to the different wallpaper collections and let your client experience the materials in real life. We join wherever you feel comfortable and support with our specialist knowledge of wallpaper, collections, colour, material and application. You know your client and the interior concept; we add our expertise in luxury wallpaper to that.

Selected PRO Trend Guide
Eight interior styles where wall covering makes the difference

Interior trends change, but strong design principles remain. The movements we now see in interiors therefore go beyond one season or calendar year. We see a lasting appreciation for material, craftsmanship, tactility, personality and layering.
For us, trends are therefore mainly interesting as a source of inspiration. Not to follow literally, but to discover new combinations of colour, material, pattern and architecture.
We select eight design movements that we believe are particularly relevant for interior professionals — and in which luxury wallpaper can play an important role.
01. Modern Heritage — classic & contemporary
Modern Heritage looks to the past without literally copying it. Classic patterns, botanical motifs and historical references are combined with contemporary architecture, art and modern design.
Especially with wallpaper, this creates interesting contrasts. A classic pattern can feel surprisingly contemporary when combined with a minimalist sofa, sculptural lighting or sleek custom work.
Think of refined botanical patterns, stripes, damasks and ornaments, but also patterns that draw their inspiration from historical archives and reinterpret them.

Selected inspiration: for Modern Heritage we look for collections where historical references are reinterpreted. Look for example at National Trust Papers by Little Greene, Heritage by Thibaut and The Contemporary Collection by Cole & Son. Botanical motifs, classic ornaments and patterns with a rich decorative character get a new appearance especially in combination with contemporary furniture, art and architecture.
PRO advice: try not to translate a heritage pattern too literally into the rest of the interior. It's precisely the tension between old and new that makes Modern Heritage interesting.
02. Artisanal Luxury — craftsmanship & material
Artisanal Luxury represents a different definition of luxury. Not only what you see counts, but especially the attention with which a material is made.
Craftsmanship, natural materials, special techniques and subtle imperfections give an interior character. The human signature may remain visible.
Within wall covering we see this reflected in natural fibres, woven materials, hand-finished surfaces and structures where the wall is treated almost like an art object.
Luxury here often lies in details you only discover when you look at the material up close: an irregular fibre, depth in the surface or the way the material reacts to light throughout the day.

Selected inspiration: Artisanal Luxury is all about the beauty of craftsmanship and natural materials. Think of the special material appearance of Gesso by CMO Paris and the rich, organic structures within All Naturals by Arte. These wall coverings bring subtle imperfections, depth and an almost handmade character to the interior.
PRO advice: with Artisanal Luxury, let the material speak. A wall doesn't need a distinctive pattern to take a leading role in the interior.
03. Tactile Walls — texture & sensoriality
The wall is increasingly approached as a material rather than as a surface.
Tactile Walls is about what a wall adds to the sensory experience of a space. Relief, woven structures, linen looks, natural fibres and textile wall covering give depth and softness without necessarily requiring a distinctive pattern.
Light plays an important role here. A relief that's barely visible frontally can suddenly take on a completely different dimension in raking light. A woven surface can appear calm from a distance and show a lot of detail up close.
This makes tactile wall covering interesting for interiors where material experience is more important than decoration.

Selected inspiration: When texture takes centre stage, a wall emerges that's not only visually interesting, but also invites you to look closely. Textura Ignis by Arte, Tribus by Élitis and the refined wall coverings by Dedar show how relief, fibres and material working can give an interior extra depth.
PRO advice: always assess tactile wall covering physically. Place a sample in your material plan and view it both in daylight and with the lighting you have in mind for the space.
"With Tactile Walls you don't just choose a colour. You design with light, shadow and surface."
04. Organic Modernism — nature & modernism
Organic Modernism brings together the clarity of modern design with the softness of natural materials.
Calm architecture, sculptural forms, wood, stone, linen and natural structures create an interior that feels modern without becoming cold.

Wall covering can form a connecting layer here. That doesn't have to be literal with a botanical pattern. A fibrous structure, a soft linen look, an organic relief or a subtle reference to stone, wood or other natural surfaces can be at least as powerful.
It's about calm, material and tactility — with sufficient space for each element to come into its own.
Selected inspiration: Soft colour nuances and natural structures form the basis of Organic Modernism. Essentials Washed Linen by Arte brings the appearance of woven linen to the wall, while Orobico by Masureel, for example in the colour Chalk, adds a calm, stone-like texture. Ideal for interiors where simplicity, material experience and a warm appearance come together.
PRO advice: don't automatically translate 'organic' into leaves, flowers or a beige colour palette. First look at material, form and texture. That's where Organic Modernism begins.
05. Neo Deco — glamour & geometry
Neo Deco translates the elegance of Art Deco into a contemporary interior.
Geometry, deep colors, shine, rich materials and architectural lines play an important role, but are combined more freely than within a classic Art Deco interior.
For wall coverings, this opens up many possibilities. Geometric patterns can emphasize the architecture of a space, while metallic surfaces, reliefs and rich textures respond to changing light.
Think of deep greens, midnight blue and warm chocolate tones combined with brass, bronze, natural stone, glass and dark wood species.
The result may be bold, as long as the composition remains refined.

Selected inspiration: Geometry, rhythm and refined contrasts give Neo Deco its distinctive character. Discover the decorative patterns of Essentials Luxor by Arte and Geometric II by Cole & Son. The graphic wall coverings by Texam also offer possibilities to incorporate architectural lines and a subtle sense of glamour into a contemporary interior.
PRO tip: Neo Deco doesn't have to take over the entire space. One carefully chosen wall can already add sufficient tension, rhythm and glamour.
06. Refined Eclecticism — mix & personality
An eclectic interior is not the same as bringing together as many styles as possible.
Refined Eclecticism is actually about direction.
A vintage object next to contemporary design. A classic pattern opposite abstract art. Different wood species, fabrics, patterns and periods that aren't the same, but do communicate with each other.
Within such an interior, wallpaper can fulfill different roles. A pattern can introduce the connecting color, add contrast or create a background against which art and furniture come into their own more strongly.
The strength lies not in perfect matching, but in finding coherence between different elements.

Selected inspiration: Refined Eclecticism emerges by combining patterns, colors and styles with a sense of balance. The expressive patterns of Wanderlust by Thibaut, the artistic designs of Pierre Frey and the rich color worlds of Designers Guild form an inspiring starting point. Precisely by carefully bringing together different influences, an interior gains a distinctive identity of its own.
PRO tip: determine what connects the different elements. This can be color, but also material, scale, shape or a rhythm that recurs in different places.
07. Layered Luxury — rich combinations
Luxury doesn't always arise from one striking object. Often it lies precisely in the way different materials come together.
Layered Luxury is all about that layering.
Wallpaper, curtains, furniture fabrics, rugs, wood, natural stone and lighting are not treated as separate choices, but as one material composition.
Precisely here, wallpaper can be a strong starting point for the design.
For example, bring back a secondary color from a pattern in the upholstery. Combine a matte wall with a material with subtle shine. Let a tactile relief contrast with smooth natural stone or combine a quiet wallpaper with a bold furniture fabric.
It's not about more materials, but about better relationships between materials.

Selected inspiration: The richness of Layered Luxury lies in the mutual coherence of materials. For example, combine the refined textures of Tressora by Casamance with the soft material effect of Velatura by Élitis. By coordinating wallpaper, curtain fabrics, furniture upholstery and natural stone within one color palette, a layered interior is created in which each material adds something.
PRO tip: don't try to match everything perfectly. A good material plan needs contrast. Combine light and dark, smooth and tactile, matte and subtly glossy to create depth.
08. Collected Luxury — personal & timeless
Collected Luxury feels as if an interior wasn't designed all at once, but emerged over time.
Art, vintage, contemporary design, heirlooms, personal objects and special materials exist alongside each other and together tell something about the people who live or stay there.
Precisely because of this, the interior feels personal.
Wall coverings can form an important foundation in this. Not necessarily the most trend-sensitive pattern, but a material or pattern with sufficient character to remain interesting even years later.
This can be a classic pattern, an artistic print, a special texture or precisely a very quiet wall covering that gives space to art and objects.

Selected inspiration: A personal interior emerges when special finds, art and design pieces are given space to tell a story together. The artistic patterns from Galerie 4 by Pierre Frey, the historically inspired wallpaper collections by Little Greene and the decorative patterns by Thibaut offer a characterful foundation for this. The wallpaper connects the different elements, without dominating the personal collection.
PRO tip: don't just ask whether a wallpaper is beautiful right now. Ask yourself what the pattern or material will still add to the space in five or ten years.
"A personal interior doesn't follow one trend. It collects stories, materials and designs that gain meaning together."
From trend to your own design
Trends give language to what we see changing around us. They can inspire, introduce new material combinations and challenge you as a designer to look at a space from a different direction.
But a good interior is never a literal translation of a trend. That's also not how we advise at Selected Wallpapers.
Modern Heritage doesn't have to feel classic. Organic Modernism doesn't have to be beige. Tactile Walls don't have to be bold. And Layered Luxury doesn't mean an interior has to be full.
The interesting question is: Which element from this design movement strengthens my concept?
This is also where the added value of our broad collection lies. We don't have to keep a design within the boundaries of one brand, collection or interior style. We can place different design worlds next to each other and look for unexpected combinations.
Perhaps within a classic collection you'll find exactly the color a modern interior needs. Or a bold pattern from another brand turns out to be the connecting factor between your fabrics, art and furniture.
A trend is the starting point for inspiration. Your design determines where you go with it.
Or reverse the process: start with the wallpaper
As an interior professional, you might be used to working from the floor plan, floor, kitchen or an important piece of furniture. But you can also reverse the design process.
Start with the wallpaper for once.
Choose a pattern or material that captures the feeling of the interior and build from there.
Extract light and dark tones from the wallpaper and use them as the basis for your color plan. Then look for fabrics, wood, natural stone and other materials that strengthen the wall or add an interesting contrast.
Place everything physically next to each other. View the material plan in daylight and under different types of artificial light. See which colors become warmer or cooler, how reliefs change and which gloss levels come forward.
From that color and material plan, you can also better substantiate your lighting plan. Where do you want to emphasize texture? Where does the space need functional light? And where may the wall be more softly present?
After that, the furniture plan can follow. For example, start with one eye-catcher and build the rest of the space around it.
This way, wallpaper doesn't become the last decorative choice after the interior has actually already been designed.
It becomes a full-fledged design material — and sometimes even the beginning of the entire interior concept.
Samples are part of the design process

For professional material choices, we advise assessing wall coverings physically where possible.
A screen doesn't tell everything. Color representation differs per screen, relief is difficult to assess digitally, and shine and texture respond to the light in the space.
Therefore, place a wallpaper sample next to the floor, natural stone, wood species and upholstery you want to apply. View the combination during the day and in artificial light. Hold light and dark materials next to each other and see what happens when you direct different light sources at the material plan.
Precisely then it becomes clear whether a wall covering really becomes part of the design.
Selected PRO therefore offers a sample service that allows you to assess materials before you definitively specify them.
