Oriental Murals

Oriental mural wallpaper is printed to the size of one specific wall, so an ink-drawn blossom branch or a stand of bamboo runs from baseboard to crown molding without restarting halfway up. The artwork is scaled once, to your numbers, and arrives as numbered panels in hanging order.

Measuring a wall for oriental mural wallpaper

Send two numbers: width and height. Measure the height at left, center and right, because floors and ceilings in older homes are rarely level, and use the largest of the three. A feature wall in a US living room usually lands around 12 ft (3.66 m) wide by 9 ft (2.74 m) high; a powder room wall sits closer to 5 ft (1.52 m) by 8 ft (2.44 m). Work to the nearest half inch (1.3 cm). The design is scaled to that rectangle and split into vertical panels that meet edge to edge, so the image reads as one piece instead of a repeat.
