Elitis Cartagena wallpaper with streaked, painted color

Cartagena wallpaper by Elitis looks like dyed threads pulled taut and laid side by side across the wall. Fine vertical streaks run through most designs, and color bleeds, fades and slips into the next shade along them. Up close you see lines and specks. Step back and they settle into soft fields of color. Some patterns cover a whole wall with one composition, while others repeat a small texture so the surface reads as even. The palette moves through ochre, indigo, pink and rust, with a muted black set against cream.

Designs in the Cartagena wallpaper collection

Sanctuaire wallpaper sets a large ochre rectangle over bands that drop from pale blue-gray to deep blue and violet, its edges blurred like wet dye. Houle wallpaper is a panoramic image with no repeat. A jagged indigo and teal wave, ringed by dark dots and orange-red patches, crosses a streaked pink ground. Faisceau wallpaper keeps things quiet with a dense streaked texture in beige, khaki and soft gold. Halo wallpaper shifts from beige and ochre into rust and umber, while Plissé wallpaper lets its stripes run downward like ink in peach and terracotta. Orée wallpaper breaks the lines with flame-like spots, and Frisson wallpaper lays feathery brushstrokes over them. Nuée wallpaper packs cream drop shapes onto black with a few copper accents, and Plumetis wallpaper softens a leopard-like spot into watercolor blurs. Amulettes wallpaper and Cannelure wallpaper round out Cartagena by Elitis.

Styling Cartagena wallpaper in your home

The photos show how a room can pick up the colors on the wall. Sanctuaire sits beside ochre shelving and a cobalt vase, and a red rug in front of Houle echoes its orange patches. Faisceau shows up behind a navy shelf holding a white, coral-like bowl. For the large murals, give one wall the full composition and keep the others calm. The smaller textures of this Elitis wallpaper can run through a whole room. At Selected Wallpapers you can browse every Cartagena design side by side.
