Colette wallpaper Sandberg

Colette wallpaper by Sandberg with engraved horses

Colette wallpaper shows a herd of horses of all kinds of breeds in a variety of poses. They stand still or walk, trot or race at full gallop, and in two places a mare walks with her foal. Each animal is drawn in an engraving style, with fine hatching that shapes muscles, manes and coats. There is no landscape or horizon. The horses stand freely on a plain ground, which gives the pattern a sense of calm and space. Because the motif stays small to medium in scale, your wall gains a lively rhythm without becoming busy.

Colours of Colette wallpaper in brown and blue

In Brown, the horses are rendered in warm brown with a taupe undertone on off-white. This version calls for natural tones: oak, linen in sand or oatmeal, and paint in chalk white or light clay. Blue places denim-blue horses on a sand-colored ground, instantly evoking an antique print. Combine it with navy textiles, off-white and warm wood, or with a soft ochre as a counterpoint. There is also a third colourway, Graphite.

Sandberg wallpaper for children's rooms, bedrooms and hallways

In a children's room, this design easily grows with your child, from babyhood to the teenage years. It also works well in a bedroom, a study or a narrow hallway, on every wall or on a single feature wall behind the bed or desk. Are you looking for made-to-measure wallpaper, or a pattern you can continue across several walls? Colette belongs to the latter. At Selected Wallpapers you will find all colourways alongside the rest of the Sandberg wallpaper collection.
