Vilda wallpaper by Sandberg: wild meadow plants in a soft haze

Vilda wallpaper lets a field of wild plants rise from the bottom of your wall. An umbellifer such as yarrow, bellflowers, closed buds and long grasses stand dense and dark at the bottom and dissolve upwards into a soft haze. It looks like a watercolour, with flowing patches, soft edges and a visible paper texture. The motif is large and the top remains almost empty. This gives your wall depth without looking busy. Because the pattern repeats, it continues across an entire wall.

Colours of Vilda wallpaper: Misty Blue and Dawn

In Misty Blue the design shifts from white and light gray to gray-blue and dark slate blue, with lilac, gray-green and beige as accents. This cool color scheme suits an off-white ceiling, gray-blue painted woodwork, light oak and gray natural stone. Dawn is warmer. Light gray-lilac fades into purple and aubergine, with dusty pink flowers, ochre-yellow ears of grain and gray-green stems. Combine this Sandberg wallpaper with sand-colored or dusty pink textiles, dark walnut and brass.

Vilda wallpaper by Sandberg in the bedroom and living room

Because the plants rise from below, the design comes into its own on a wall you see in its entirety: behind the headboard in the bedroom, behind a sofa or on the long wall of a dining room. In a smaller room, the light upper section keeps the ceiling at a distance. The design is part of the Sandberg Edition wallpaper collection. Undecided between Misty Blue and Dawn?
