Novelle wallpaper by INSTABILELAB with stacked stamped shapes

Novelle wallpaper brings stacked block shapes to your wall, printed with a dry brush or roller. On the left stands a tall bar with a block above it. In the middle, a shield shape, a hexagon and a trapezoid balance on top of one another, while on the right a rectangle rests on a bow-tie shape with an upright bar beneath it. It is reminiscent of stones someone has carefully stacked. The whole reads as one continuous composition rather than a repeating pattern.

Stamped prints and hand-drawn lines in INSTABILELAB wallpaper

The edges of the shapes are grainy and irregular. Where the paint fades away, the background shows through, giving each block weight and depth without being completely filled in. Behind the blocks run thin vertical lines, drawn by hand and gently wavy. They give the wall rhythm and hold the heavy shapes together, while their small irregularities reveal a human touch. As a result, the design reads more like a painting than a decoration.

Colourways of Novelle wallpaper

Colourway 01 places charcoal shapes on cream with gray lines and feels calm and graphic. In 02 the shapes become off-white on taupe gray, with white lines, creating a softer and lighter feel. Colourway 03 is bolder: rust-brown, copper-colored blocks on dark midnight blue, intersected by light gray lines. This version makes a wall deep and warm. You will find all three colourways of this INSTABILELAB wallpaper in the I.Magine wallpaper collection.
