Arashiyama wallpaper Sandberg

Arashiyama wallpaper by Sandberg with bamboo in brushstrokes

With Arashiyama wallpaper you bring a watercolour bamboo forest indoors. Slender stalks with distinct nodes rise from the skirting board almost to the ceiling, with thin twigs and narrow, pointed leaves gathered in loose clusters. In between, the design leaves plenty of open space. It is precisely this calm that makes the wall-filling, panoramic image so pleasant to look at: the wall gains depth and height without becoming busy. Some leaves are faintly and lightly painted, as if they stand further away.

Colours of Arashiyama wallpaper in Green

The Green colourway works with soft olive green and gray-green, from light to slightly deeper, on an off-white background with a fine paper-like grain. As a result, the wall looks like a sheet of paper worked with a brush. Combine this green with lime white or warm sand-colored paint on woodwork and ceiling, with light oak or pine, with rough natural stone and with linen in ecru or sage. An accent in black metal or dark earthenware provides a counterbalance to the green.

Sandberg bamboo wallpaper in the hallway, bedroom and living room

Because the bamboo runs almost the full height, it is best to choose a calm wall that you can see in its entirety: the long wall of a hallway, the wall behind the bed or a reading wall in the living room. In a study, the green brings tranquillity. At Selected Wallpapers we are happy to help you plan the layout of the image on your wall, even if you are looking for made-to-measure wallpaper. You can find more designs in the Sandberg wallpaper collection.
