Sofia Wood wallpaper Sandberg

Sofia Wood wallpaper by Sandberg in Skye

Sofia Wood wallpaper brings a dense canopy of leaves to your wall: narrow, elongated leaves on slender twigs that wind criss-cross through one another. Here and there small yellow berries light up, some with a pale center. The motif is small and fills the wall as a continuous all-over pattern with no fixed direction, so the eye never gets caught anywhere. The hand-painted, gouache-like drawing with soft shadows gives the leaves an almost three-dimensional relief. Up close you see twigs; from a distance, a calm yet lively texture.

Colours of Sofia Wood wallpaper: gray-blue with ochre

The Skye colourway sets leaves in light gray and pale gray-green on a gray-blue ground, edged with slightly darker shadow outlines. The dots in ochre and mustard yellow bring warmth to the cool palette. Echo that shade in a cushion, a vase or brass fittings and you create a cohesive whole. For skirting boards, window frames or an adjoining wall, paint in a muted gray-green or off-white works well. Light oak, limestone and natural undyed linen complement the base, while dark-stained wood adds more contrast.
