INSTABILELAB wallpaper

INSTABILELAB combines design and innovation for wallpaper that stands out with modern shapes and a luxurious finish — perfect for those who dare to renew their interiors.

Instabilelab wallpaper is sized for the wall it will cover, so it reads less like a roll of paper than one continuous image laid across drywall. The studio sits in Santa Maria di Sala, just beyond Venice, and opened in 2016, a creative laboratory where interior designers work alongside graphic artists. Development and production both stay in Italy, and many designs are made to order in size, color and graphic finish.

Measuring a wall for Instabilelab wallpaper

Begin with the wall, not the pattern. Take width and height at their largest points, since a sloped ceiling adds more than most people estimate, and note what interrupts the surface: outlets, a return-air grille, a stair rail. An 8 ft (2.44 m) hallway ceiling is a different brief from a 20 ft (6.10 m) stairwell, and across much of this range the size is set when you order rather than picked off a shelf. Our made-to-measure murals range shows how that works across brands.

I.Magine and My Way: the two Instabilelab collections

Two ranges carry most of the brand's wallpapers on these pages. I.Magine holds the graphic, image-led work: the motif that sets a room's tone before the furniture arrives. My Way starts from personal style, with character in each design rather than one house signature. Worth knowing by name: Eden reads lush and organic, Tear is expressive and graphic, Natsume carries Japanese influences, Mizuki stays light and flowing.

Where these designs work in an American home

A powder room takes an expressive motif well: you see the whole surface at once. An entryway or a staircase wall gives a large image the viewing distance it needs. In a primary bedroom, treat the wall behind the headboard and keep the pattern quiet.

Humid rooms and hard-wearing finishes

Certain designs come in finishes suited to more humid rooms, which brings bathrooms and laundry areas into range; our bathroom wallpaper selection gathers what qualifies. Ventilation still matters, and paper stays clear of the splash zone around a tub.

Texture and color in the Instabilelab range

Texture is treated as part of the design here rather than as the thing underneath it, and the brand keeps researching materials and the way they go on the wall alongside the print. Some Instabilelab wallpaper reads almost like plaster or woven cloth up close, nearer our textured wallpaper than a flat graphic; other designs build on foliage, which puts them beside our botanical wallpaper, or on one wide scene in the manner of panoramic wallpaper.

Ordering the collection from Europe

We ship from the Netherlands, and duties and taxes are included in the price shown. Order a sample first: north light in a Chicago winter treats a deep green differently than afternoon sun in Phoenix. Send us the wall dimensions and a photo and we will say how the design lands at that scale.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ about INSTABILELAB wallpaper
How does ordering Instabilelab wallpaper work?
Instabilelab delivers custom panoramic wallpaper in panels, not standard rolls. You choose a design and enter the wall dimensions, after which the image is optimally adjusted to your wall. You receive a visual for approval before it goes into production.
Can I request samples or preview the design?
Yes. At Selected Wallpapers you can request samples and digital visualizations. You will then receive a preview of the chosen design on your wall size, including the layout of the panels. This gives you a realistic idea of scale, use of color and composition in advance.
How is the wallpaper applied?
The wallpaper is delivered in custom-made, numbered panels and requires professional installation, especially for large walls or technical materials (such as Fibratex). The Vinyl material has a Non Woven backing and is therefore easy to process by applying the glue to the wall.
