Mimbeau wallpaper: laser-cut wood appliqué and satin embroidery, inspired by the ebb and flow of the wind
Mimbeau wallpaper from the Mimbeau wallpaper collection is inspired by a sandbank literally "drawn" by nature. Mimbeau is created by the interplay of tides and wind, between the Arcachon Basin and the Cap Ferret peninsula. The sand constantly traces new lines and curves around maritime pines, mosses, and lichens—a landscape that is constantly changing, yet always harmonious.
This natural geometry is translated into a pattern consisting of four symmetrically arranged elements. The composition feels calm and perfectly balanced, yet its true luxury comes from the technique. The heart of the motif is created with a laser-cut wood appliqué, realized using an innovative method exclusive to Casamance. Each cut element is applied by hand, giving the wallpaper that artisanal, tactile quality that cannot be replicated.
Craftsmanship you see: wood, embroidery and soft sheen
After application, each element is finished with satin threads. This embroidery lends a refined sheen and emphasizes the lines of the motif without being overly striking. The result is a wallcovering that feels both natural and precise: wood and thread, yet with a couture-like finesse.
Mimbeau is available in a wide width and comes in three colors. This allows you to choose a soft, calm interpretation or a version with more contrast—always with the same handcrafted signature.
