Because this is a French range, the roll count is worth settling before anything is ordered. Each design carries its own roll length, roll width and pattern repeat on the product page, and those are the figures to count with. Measure the wall at its tallest point rather than at the doorway, and treat a door or a window as full wall instead of deducting it, which leaves room for trimming. Send the measurements to us and we will go through the count with you, and say so plainly if a wall would be better served by another design.

A powder room is the easiest place to begin: small, enclosed, and a room that can carry a bold pattern without the rest of the house having to agree. In an entry hall or up a stairwell the lavish botanical prints hold a tall wall, where a small motif would vanish. With an open plan, keep the pattern to the wall behind the dining table or the fireplace, so it reads as one deliberate surface.

Part of the range is printed and richly colored; another part is about surface, with sisal texture and the grain of cork. Much of this line is produced on non-woven or vinyl and is washable, which matters on a hallway wall that gets touched. Texture is the one thing a screen cannot show, so order a sample first.
